Medieval Science
Science during the Medieval era would leave Europe and take
hold in Arabic and Chinese lands. Science would also try
to break away from just trusting the knowledge of past authorities
such as Aristotle. There was a major push to reason and
experiment for yourself in trying to find solutions.
William of Ockham would create his scientific precept known as
Ockham's Razor. This says "All things being the same,
the simplest answer is most likely the right one."
Science would also slow down during this era. There
became a larger division between religion and science and the view of many
was to study the sacred rather than the secular. Medicine was one branch
of science that continued to be studied due to the Bubonic Plague and the view
of many to help their fellow man.
