Obviously, the lead scientist of this era is Isaac Newton.  We will be discussing, experimenting and calculating his 3 laws of motion during this unit.  Students will also delve deeper into the classification systems and we will look at the invention and uses of a microscope as well.
Other topics to be covered are:
        1.  Spontaneous Generation
        2.  Giovanni Cassini and his astronomical discoveries
        3.  Fossils and geological strata
        4.  Inverse Square Law
        5.  Comparative Anatomy
        6.  Forces and the Direction of their Application
