Creating a pollution diorama
For this project, students are to create a model or diorama (3 DIMENSIONAL) that will demonstrate the three forms of pollution. This diorama should include how one form of pollution can cause another form of pollution. Below are listed some requirements. Students will be shown a powerpoint demonstrating previous students’ projects.
1. Your diorama should include the three types of pollution…land, air and water. Please
show pollution STARTING in these places.
2. Your diorama should show how the types of pollution affect one another.
Examples: an oil spill in the ocean (water) washes up on land (land)
Smoke from a factory (air) causes acid rain, which rains on a forest, harming the
plant life (land)
3. The objects within your diorama must be labeled.
4. A typed description paragraph detailing the events within your diorama should be included.
5. Your diorama should include arrows to show the transition from one form of pollution
to the next.
6. Please use your grade sheet as a checklist to make sure that you have everything.
